Bealtaine Edible Flower Biscuit Decorating Workshop - 24th May 2024

  • Roe Valley Arts & Cultual Centre 24 Main Street Limavady BT49 0FJ (map)

I’m collaborating with Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre in Limavady on two very special workshops bringing a bit of floral magic to the North Coast. The first is this gorgeous pressed flower biscuit decorating workshop. But also check out our floral gin making workshop.

As featured in Vogue and The Irish Times, The Edible Flower hosts a hands-on biscuit decorating workshop with edible flowers, merging culinary skills with cultural history. Led by Erin Bunting, this session explores floral flavours in classic bakes and delves into the influence of Celtic festivals like Bealtaine on modern cuisine. Participants gain insight into baking with edible plants, as well as pressing flowers and creating natural food dyes. In addition we will learn how to make plant infused lemonade to enjoy with our newly created decorated biscuits. We will make plenty of extras to take home and share.

You’ll get a chance to put what you’ve learned to the test by decorating your own edible flower biscuits to take home. We’ll finish the morning with a slice of cake or two and a cup of tea or coffee.

Afterwards we will email you a handout with the information on pressing flowers and the recipes for the biscuits and lemonade.
